Terms of Service
DRAFT — review before launch. Not legal advice.
These terms apply to services provided by CookieCapybara, a trading name of [COMPANY NAME — TO FILL], registered office [REGISTERED ADDRESS — TO FILL] (company number [TO FILL]). Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL — TO FILL].
1. Scope
Our standard package is a website of 1 to 5 pages with the inclusions listed on our home page. Anything beyond this (for example more than 5 pages, e-commerce, booking systems, heavy custom design, multi-language sites or complex integrations) is only provided if agreed in writing by a member of our team, and may be priced separately.
2. Price and payment
The Simple Site costs £397 one-off, payable in advance via a secure payment link. Prices exclude VAT unless stated. Work starts once payment is confirmed.
3. FAST TRACK
Same-day or under-one-hour delivery is a target, not a guarantee, and depends on you providing the information and materials we need promptly.
4. Edits after launch
For 14 days after launch we will make minor content edits (such as text changes, swapping images or updating contact details) at no extra cost. Larger changes are quoted separately.
5. Domain
We register and hold the domain name for your site in our name. A domain holding and maintenance fee of £36/year applies, covering renewal and basic DNS. If the fee is unpaid we may let the domain lapse after reasonable notice. You may ask us to transfer the domain to you at any time for a one-time transfer fee of £15, provided your account is up to date.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of all content you provide (text, images, logos). You confirm you have the right to use it and grant us a licence to use it to build and host your site. Once paid in full, you may use the site design we create for your business.
7. Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel for a full refund if no work has started. After work has started, refunds are pro-rata or as set out in our Refund Policy.
8. Liability
We take reasonable care, but we are not liable for indirect losses or loss of business. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
